Distinctive Dog won a Dog World Editors’ Choice Award for its natural dog treats. Dog World made the selection for Distinctive Dog and 12 other innovative, new products after careful testing and review.

“We are honored to be chosen for this prestigious award. We started Distinctive Dog to create dog treats from healthy ingredients that dogs love and are excited about this recognition from Dog World magazine,” said Tamra Johnson, Distinctive Dog owner.

Distinctive Dog was launched in 2010 and provides natural dog treats to retailers throughout the United States. Distinctive Dog treats include Peanut Banana Bread, Chicken Pot Pie, Sweet Potato Carrot Cake and Pawberry Cobbler. They are natural and gluten free with no wheat, corn, soy or artificial preservatives.

Peanut Butter Snaps
Preheat oven to 290 degrees F. Mix 2 cups oat flour and 1/2 cup potato starch in mixer. In a separate bowl blend 1 egg, 2 teaspoon vanilla, 1/4 cup honey, and 1/4 cup canola oil; slowly add to dry mixture. Add 3/4 cup peanut butter and 1/4 cup mashed banana; slowly add cold water until dough begins to stick together (if it gets too sticky, add more flour). Remove dough and roll to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters; place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 50 minutes, turn off oven, and leave treats inside for 2 hours to harden.
